Kara Uhinck is the Director of Pilots at EL Education, leading the design and support of curriculum pilots nationwide. A former teacher, literacy coach, and district support at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Kara’s connection to EL Education began when her district adopted the curriculum—igniting her passion for the work.

Since joining EL Education in 2019, she’s helped schools and districts build strong foundations for success. Now, as Director of Pilots, she brings deep expertise in both implementation and instructional coaching. Kara is a champion for educators and believes high-quality curriculum can transform learning. Outside of work, she’s a proud baseball mom to two sons.
